The AVN Awards are almost here! For those of you not in the know, the AVN Awards are basically the Oscars of porn and a ton of movies are up for nomination in every category – from Best Actress to Best Foot/Leg Fetish Release toBest Big Bust Series.  Since we here at HM4Her are so excited about the upcoming awards show in Las Vegas (Jan. 10), we will be reviewing 2009 AVN Award Nominated movies until the big day!  Let’s get to it!

Starting AVN season reviews with a movie nominated for SIX awards (Best Director – Feature, Best Art Direction, Best Editing, Best Special Effects, Best Music Soundtrack and Best Video Feature), I bring you The Bad Luck Betties.

My favorite thing about porn, other than the naked chicks, or course, is that no matter what, there is something for everyone. And while I would usually say that when talking about some super niche fetish movie, here I’m bringing it out for something I haven’t seen too much of in my porn reviewing repertoire – Rockabilly porn. And I love it. This super stylized, 50’s inspired porno is chocked full of raven haired beauties sporting ruby red lips, perfect coifs and a whole lot of bad attitude. The Bad Luck Betties are a band of ex-models gone rebel who take what they want, when they want it. Luckily for us, they use their sultry bodies to get their thrills. With Trashy Sally (Smokin’ Mary Jane) at the helm, along with Napalm Suzy (Mika Tan), Backseat Angel (Bianca Dagger) and Hellen Heels (Marie Luv), these Betties terrorize the locals and protect the only thing they really have – their turf.

My absolute favorite scene of the movie is scene 2, where Trashy Sally meets burlesque queen Paige “The Rage” and dances for her idol in some seedy hotel room. Of course it devolves into totally hot debauchery as they both strip naked and fuck atop the sheets. Seeing both women, with their amazing vintage style, long black hair and curvy bodies, touching each other was enough to make my face a little flushed. Hopefully Bettie Page got a chance to check it out before she passed away. This movie would pin-up legend would be proud.
