After an exhausting weekend I thought I’d treat myself to this little GwenMedia flick I’d set aside some time ago. “Sisters” caught my eye easily with its intriguing hints of a plot and bondage heavy style. It’s rare that I come across bondage movies with more than a barebones damsel-gets-kidnapped plot line, so I’ve been holding onto this one for months in hopeful anticipation.
I definitely wasn’t disappointed with the first few minutes of the film. A bare room with a single bound and ball gagged woman and a haunting horror movie sound track, quickly had me reaching for popcorn, I didn’t actually have any; but I was on the edge of my seat hanging onto the characters every word, or muffled grunt as the case may be, anyway. My only complaint at this point would be that the screams are louder than the dialogue, which forces me to turn the volume way up and draws perplexed stares from around the office.
Two step-sisters begin living together after their father passes away and leaves one of them with a large sum of money. Things get interesting when the heiress moves in a little early and catches her step-sister tied, gagged and playing with her magic wand. Before long the two are taking turns at playing Mistress. As the heiress isn’t at all good as a Mistress to start with her sister gives her a lesson in being a slave so that in turn she’ll learn to be a truly demanding Mistress later on. The plot is developed well enough that there’s even a twist to the ending that I didn’t, quite, see coming.
Besides the plot elements, which I love, there’s a good deal of show in “Sisters” as well. Instead of bringing us into a finished scene where one of the sisters is already bound appropriately and just needs to struggle a minute or two for the cameras sake, we’re treated to watching as each belt is buckled. Scene’s are much more enjoyable when you get to watch them unfold from start to finish, especially the more elaborate setups like the vacuum pac the heiress sleeps in her first night as a slave.
There is the one drawback I can see many having with this film – there’s very little sex. Now, this might seem like the complete opposite of what many porn lovers want but you can actually have an awesome fetish movie that doesn’t have any sex in it at all. When it comes to a good fetish film, there isn’t much sex because it gets in the way of the fetish. I’ll hand it to GwenMedia though they did manage to incorporate a pretty arousing forced body worshiping scene into this one that neither detracted from the training nor seemed like tacked on pandering to the mainstream masses.
The domination in this movie is truly intense, not to be mistaken for your average explorative couple’s play. And as always with a good BDSM flick, there’s plenty of intriguing ideas for the more adventurous to possibly incorporate into their play (two words – kitchen floor.) Though sadly most of the equipment used in “Sisters” is unlikely to be found in your average home dungeon. GwenMedia doesn’t cut any of the best bits short, it’s not all about watching hot women struggle in pretty bondage attire and bonds, but actually about watching the heiress go through the rigorous training of a slave – some of the more tedious and humiliating tasks included. All in all, I’d say this is a great fetish film, maybe too intense for some but definitely a must see for fans of horror, domination and humiliation alike.
