Happy December everybody in the cyberverse! December is full on holiday bliss for, well just about ever religion out there and all those happy shopaholic atheists too and you know, nothing puts me in the holiday season like a little S&M (’cause really I’d love to get a well trained slave in my stocking and maybe a fully equipped Master under my tree, cause I’m greedy like that) so when I saw “School Of Masochists – Perfect Edition” sitting in the archives unreviewed and with English subtitles, well let’s just call this my little gift to me!
It’s clear from the very first scene that the women are likely to be masochists all the way as the male lead, Keisuke, literally kicks one to orgasm (hey, we all know hentai sex scenes are weird by now) apparently he gave the music teacher Izumi a type of vibrating chastity belt, which the poor woman has been wearing constantly for a week. At that point Izumi is desperate to get off and get it off, very desperate indeed. The nudity when it comes is rather disappointing, sexual organs are drawn with a minimum of detail and coloring work but the rest of the body is done with superior detail.
After that the plot finally takes off in the form of a bet between the class president, Yuuka, and Keisuke. It’s to be a challenge of wills, Yuuka will be his sexual slave for a week and if Keisuke fails to turn her into a quiver pile of loving goo by the end of that time, he’ll do whatever she wants. I’m rooting for Yuuka in this one and the slap she gave Keisuke at the beginning is a pretty heartening sign. On the other hand, the way she agrees to such an idiotic one sided contest isn’t such a great sign but I can hope!
Ooo this is a good one, there’s still more plot and character development to come. Apparently Keisuke has some serious family problems at home that have skewed his views on proper male female relationships, so now he’s potentially worth saving and now I’m really rooting for Yuuka to figure him out and save him from himself. Then Keisuke goes and blackmails Yuuka with a tape of her losing her virginity, threatening to show the tape to the entire school if she attempts to back out of the bet which immediately loses him points as a possible not jerk.
A further wrinkle gets thrown into the game when the music teacher Izumi finds out about Yuuka and flies into a bit of jealous rage. Izumi kidnaps a friend of Yuuka’s and then invites the student president to the science lab for a little re-education of her own.
There’s no doubt about it “School of Masochists” is a superior hentai, with a pretty good plot and lots of thought given to all the main characters hedonistic actions. The art is pretty good, though animation is high grade where it counts, as the female characters play with themselves on full display for the cameras. I won’t spoil the end of the story, who wins this illicit battle of bodies and minds, I’ll leave that for you to find out for yourselves.
