Romeo, oh Romeo. Wherefore art thou Romeo? You know what’s a super strange combo? Shakespeare and porno. What’s even stranger is a porno that is not only a parody of one of Shakespeare’s plays, but also employs Shakespearean language… and mixes it with contemporary dialogue. Confused? Yeah, me too. But that’s Dream Zone Entertainment‘s take on Romeo and Juliet. And surprisingly, I am totally into it.
Featuring the aways sexy Rocco Reed as Romeo and brunette bombshell Ann Marie Rios as Juliet, this porno-fied version follows the classic tale of the star-crossed lovers, adding in dirty action along the way. For those of you that slept through junior high English class, or missed that blockbuster remake in the late ‘90s, here is a quick summary of the plot. Romeo and Juliet’s families are bitter enemies, which means that it is no bueno when they meet at a party that Juliet’s father is hosting (which Romeo is crashing) and fall in love at first site.
Things go downhill as Romeo accidentally kills Juliet’s cousin Tybalt and creates an even further wedge between their families, though Juliet believes that it was an accident. They make a plan to run away and elope. Juliet sends a message to Romeo that she plans to fake her own death so that they can have a fresh start. Too bad Romeo doesn’t get the message and is so devastated by the news of Juliet’s suicide that he kills himself to be with her. Of course Juliet isn’t dead, so she goes looking for him, only to find that he has killed himself to be with her in the afterlife. Then Juliet is so distraught by Romeo’s death that she kills herself for real. The end – they are both dead.
Maybe it’s the onscreen chemistry, or the passion that Reed and Rios are pumping into their characters, but their sex scene is my favorite of the bunch. Don’t get me wrong – they are all really hot, but scene 4 has an additional quality that really makes it special. We get lots of moaning, a whole bunch of positions and that extra sweetness that really makes it stand out. Very nice, Dream Zone.

Sure, Romeo and Juliet is one of the great love stories, but am I the only one who thinks it’s a little dark for a porno flick? I will say that Dream Zone Entertainment did an excellent job with this movie, giving us high quality production, talented actors and steamy sex. Rocco Reed and Ann Marie Rios are both fantastic in their roles, accompanied by Brian Street Team as Mercutio and Anthony Rosano as Tybalt. Like I said, I didn’t actually get the whole half old English/half modern speech, but hey, as long as the sex is hot, who cares?
