I have some major Philly pride. Born and bred in the City of Brotherly Love, I have a total soft spot for locally made stuff, including porn. That’s why I was so excited when I saw the AVN nominations for this flick from Philly’s own TLA PopPorn folks. That’s right, homegrown hotness! And this isn’t just porn, this is some funny ass, hilarious adult content. Think about what porn would be like if it was written and directed by your most ridiculously funny friends. That’s this that, times ten.
I love love love that this is a “guide” to how to get busy, or “making fuck.” Not only do they show all the good stuff, they make sure you know all the steps to get there… like being sure you use lots of different light bulbs to film the making fuck. This movie is random in the sense that you’re listening to director Spock Buckton talk about stuff, and then all of a sudden you’re watching people fucking. I guess that’s how most porn is, but something about this movie in particular that makes it seem way more random. Well, not like it matters, because that’s what porn is all about – the fucking.
And while the humor is freak awesome, it’s the fucking that is dead on in this flick. The Popporn boys got a bunch of fabulous porn stars, including James Deen, Kimberly Kane, Lexi Belle, Courtney Cummz, and even a cameo by Nina Hartley. Seriously, the mix of great performers and hilarious “behind-the-scenes” action makes this movie one of the best I’ve seen in a while. Both get the perfect amount of screen time and the balance totally makes the movie exactly what it is supposed to be – an insanely funny flick with lots of quality fucking. Good luck in Vegas, Popporn, you guys deserve it! Philly is rooting for yous guys!
