Belladonna never fails to keep me glued to the screen.  Whether she is all glammed up or covered in dirt and grime, this amazing lady brings us her very best over and over again.  I guess that’s why she is nominated for AVN awards over and over as well.  This flick alone is nominated for six different awards, including Best All-Girl Release, Best Cinematography and, of course, Best Director, which just so happens to be Belladonna too!

I was hooked from the opening credits, which features the creepiest music I’ve ever heard.  Apparently it is Henry Hall’s “Hush, Hush, Here Comes the Bogeyman,” but all I know is that I wasn’t sure if I had turned on a horror movie or a porno, and that’s always a plus for me.  And not just some slasher flick with big boob girls running around – an actual creepy, gritty flick.  And lucky me, this porno was just that!  Think steampunk aesthetic meets “Hostel.”

Gritty is an understatement when Belladonna takes on the roll of a demented doll maker who brings her dolls to life for the sake of hot girl-on-girl (well doll-on-doll, really) action.  Heck, she even assists, making sure they all have the equipment needed to really get the job done (read big anal beads and dildos).  All the while the camera is rolling projector-style with all the same bumps and crackles like a real broken projector.  It just adds to the raw dirtiness of the flick, and what is Belladonna if not detail-oriented?

My favorite scene of this fabulously weirdo movie was hands down scene three, where Andy San Dimas and Lexi Belle are marionettes that Belladonna cuts down from their strings.  I absolutely love that they keep the cut strings attached to their fingers as they put them inside each other and roll around getting it on scissor-style.  Plus the sepia tone the whole movie takes on is perfect to get this scene into the mood it needs to be in to work extra well.  So many thumbs up here.

All around this movie is seriously awesome and one I highly recommend for folks looking for something a little different.  And, of course, for anyone who’s ever liked a Belladonna flick.
