It’s been a while since we’ve spent some time with Candida Royalle, so today seemed like the perfect time to rekindle our love affair with this fabulous director. For those of you who may not know Candida Royalle and her amazing work, let me give a quick rundown:

Without her vision and perseverance, porn made ‘for women, by women’ might never have taken off like it has, and we might not even exist. So thanks, Candida!
Pretty awesome, right?! Now you see why I am so interested in delving back into her work. Up this time is Candida Royalle’s Sensual Escape, a three scene erotic flick featuring Nina Hartley, Richard Pacheco, Siobhan Hunter, and Steve Lockwood. I absolutely love that many of Candida’s movies have Nina Hartley in them. She is a porno legend for a reason – so sexy and so amazing to watch.
In this movie she plays a high-powered lawyer on a date with her man Richard Pacheco, and they are about to fuck for the first time. How exciting! The dinner portion of the date is cut short when they decide to skip the restaurant and head home with some take out so that they can get it on. I really enjoy the voice-overs of their thoughts, both worrying about the sex they are about to have. It’s actually so true to life of something that happens when you are getting busy for the first time with someone.
When they finally stop worrying so much and get to the good stuff, we are definitely in for a treat. The action is sensual and fun, while being just the right amount of dirty and hardcore. Richard spends a long time caressing Nina’s body and enjoying her pussy in his mouth before she turns him over for a quick blow job. It’s not long before they are rolling around from position to position and soaking in the pleasure.
I’ll admit that I had a harder time getting into the second vignette of this movie, The Tunnel. Siobhan Hunter and Steve Lockwood star in this part (scenes 2 and 3), bringing us a surreal story of erotic dreams and bizarre images. I just really didn’t get it and spent most of the movie with my head cocked to the side in confusion. Hey, can’t get ‘em all, right? I do definitely suggest watching it yourself and deciding if it’s for you. Either way, Candida offers up a fantastic movie that’s made specifically for women to experience. Three cheers for that!
