I have to admit I took one look at the description of “Anticipation” and giggled. After that I licked my lips and wondered if there was anything in this film that could get my fires stoked with the proverbial anticipation – curiosity, definitely a sin I can live with.
Well, there definitely wasn’t that much to anticipate in the first scene. The bartender barely got to say two words before the horny blond attempted to jump his bones. The sex was remarkably lack luster; she didn’t even suck cock like she was enjoying herself. It’s a theme that seems to repeat as each scene is presented with absolutely no hint of the anticipation lauded in the title and description.
Finally with the third scene things slow down a bit in the restaurant – then segways to the much faster moving, scene in the garage, then back to the hot and unassuming guy in the restaurant, then back again. I’m sensing a pattern and it’s not a good one. To bolster the lack of erotic sensuality that builds to a sense of anticipation they dragged out one scene that actually looked mildly interesting by chopping it up and filling it with another anticipation free sex scene.
The last two scenes are the best out of the bunch. The first was cut up with garage sex so it’s a mixed bag but the final scene, well the final scene features the films only brunette and a pool table – two of my favorite things – and they actually use the table to play pool! Then they have sex on it.
Ugh if there’s one thing that will guarantee I hate a film – its false advertisement. I’ll admit that there wasn’t any of the usual lightning speed ramming and cumshots were kept mercifully off the face but for the most part “Anticipation” had nothing to anticipate. If the last scene was actually supposed to be the quintessential anticipated moment, well sorry they’d have lost me well before it.
