Today is one of those awesome days when you wake up, look in the mirror and just kind of feel awesome. I mean, yeah they found suspicious white powder in the park I walk through daily and I’m swamped in and out of work, but I still feel – awesome. And it’s in honor of that awesome feeling that I’m going back to my favorite gay studio for an extra awesome dose of behind the scene deliciousness with “All About Bel Ami.”
Ok, anything that starts off with a young Lukas Ridgeston grinning and chatting candidly with the camera is already putting my happiness meter through the roof! So cute, such a contagious smile, I just couldn’t help grinning like an idiot. And for me, smiling around the office is unusual enough to promptly make several people wonder if the apocalypse is coming early.
You’ve got interviews with some of Bel Ami’s greatest stars, interspersed with behind the scene footage from their various films. I have no idea why it’s so hot for me to see the guys of Bel Ami doing non sexy stuff like inflating rafts, setting up camp, singing karaoke and putting on makeup for the scenes but it totally is. Probably has something to do with their undeniable sex appeal and the way it doesn’t seem to diminish when the cameras aren’t actually rolling.
This is a behind the scene film so there’s a lot of clothes on stuff going on but also a lot of relaxed nakedness and clips of sex scenes from various movies. The overall feeling is very playful and erotic. In your average feature the guys of Bel Ami come off as cheerful and carefree and this behind the scenes epic didn’t dispel that feeling of good clean fun, even when the guys are rolling around on the beach getting very, very dirty indeed. Definitely a treat for Bel Ami fans but probably not something you’d want to sit your honey down to watch with you prior to a little bed play.
