After finally sitting down to watch Deep Throat yesterday, I was inspired to take a second look at some of the biggest names in classic porn – the ones that not only changed the adult industry, but also cemented themselves into pop culture fame. Plus, you know, the ones your parents saw in the theater when they came out. Well, at least mine did.

In no specific order, the top five classics you’ve definitely heard of, but probably never seen.
Each of this fabulous fuck flicks are a piece of pornographic history that every adult movie watcher should see in their lifetime.  So get your super hot history lesson on and check them out! Trust me, the pop quiz is totally worth it.

The Devil In Miss Jones: After committing suicide, Justine Jones ends up in limbo only to find out the she can’t get into heaven because she took her own life, yet can’t go to hell because she was just too good. She makes a deal to come back and go to hell after she’s sufficiently “lusted” and is granted a limited second chance for sex.  And does she take it!  This is totally a classic for a reason!

Debbie Does Dallas: Cheerleading Captain Debbie Benton has a chance to try out for a spot on the Texas Cowgirls (ahem… Dallas Cowboys) cheerleaders, but her parents won’t foot the bill for her trip. Oh no!  But no worries, her friends step in and help Debbie raise some funds to get her to the big audition!  They try out wholesome jobs at first, but quickly realize that men are willing to pay much more for a chance at some action.  Good thing too, cause guess who shows up at the end in a Texas Cowgirls uniform?  Ra Ra Ra!  You’d have to have lived under a rock to never heard of this flick.

Cecil Howard’s Babylon Pink: Legendary porn directors Cecil Howard and Henri Pachard bring intense female sexuality and desire to the screen with this classic mix of erotic vignettes starring adult goddesses Vanessa Del Rio, Georgina Spelvin, Samantha Fox and more!  A must see for female fantasies fans!

The Opening of Misty Beethoven: Pygmalion done porno style, this plot heavy seventies classic follows frigid streetwalker Misty Beethoven through her transformation into a first-class sexual socialite. How fancy! My favorite part is definitely the montage of her learning the ways of the sex world. I always love a movie montage – porno or not.  Starring adult great Jamie Gillis, who recently passed away.

Behind the Green Door: Changing the face of porn for the mainstream, this 1972 Mitchell Brothers classic tells the story of an abducted woman ending up as the main feature at at private club later in the evening.  While that sounds kind of intense to watch, in reality, it’s actually done in a really erotic and sensual way.  Screened at Cannes, Behind the Green Door was one of the biggest box office successes for the ’70s, as well as the second movie to ever be inducted into the XRCO (X-Rated Critic’s Organization) Hall of Fame (behind Deep Throat).

Seriously, you won’t be disappointed!
