I decided to do something a little different with this week’s Top Five Tuesday since JD and I are headed to NYC for the 2010 Sex Bloggers Calendar launch party this Friday. We usually highlight our favorite movies and actors here, but I figured this is a great opportunity to convince those of you who are on the fence about attending to be there because it’s an amazing party.
1. It’s for a good cause! This year’s calendar will raise funds to support Woodhull Freedom Foundation. Woodhull is a national organization whose mission is to affirm sexual freedom as a fundamental human right. Sounds pretty good, right? I don’t know about you, but if buying a hot calendar packed full of sexy images results in more funds for a great organization, I’m down.
2. Nina Hartley! That’s right – the legendary lady will be there and performing! I can’t even explain how exciting this is for me.
3. Everyone else. There’s no way I can even list all of the people we’re looking forward to seeing, but I’ll name a few we mention on the blog often: Dylan Ryan, Jiz Lee, Carol Queen and our former co-worker Shanna Katz. Plus tons of our blogger and industry friends like the lovely hosts Diva and Tess.
4. Spreading the Porno Gospel. We have super awesome jobs and it’s so great that we get to attend really cool sex positive parties and spread the world about all of the good XXX available now. We’ll have free minute cards, stickers and plunging necklines, so make sure to find us!
5. Late night dumplings at Vanessa’s. That’s right, the party is right across the street from one of the cheapest and best late night dumpling houses in the city.
Ok, so I know this is supposed to be the top five reasons to be there, but if you’re not quite convinced yet, here’s one more reason you should go.

The calendar launch party will be held on Friday, October 1st, 2010, at Fontana’s, 105 Eldridge St, NYC, from 6:30 – 9:30. Not only is the party free but the first 200 guests will receive FREE gift bags that include free minute cards for our site!

They say it’s an honor to just be nominated for this kind of thing, but let’s face it, no one remembers who was even nominated for this years Gay Porn Oscars. Between the hot twitpics of half-naked winners celebrating and the fact I made up stating that 75% of the dudes in San Francisco this morning are nursing a serious hangover/sunburn from Folsom, any inkling of the nominees is gone forever. I mean, I send out my since congratulations to all of the nominees, but this post is all about celebrating some of my favorite winners!
I’ve talked about Lucas Entertainment’s Men of Israel a ton and it is my favorite dude on dude porno of the year (so far!) It’s been months and I’m still not over hot freaking hot the men are and I don’t even sleep with dudes. If I thought these guys would have anything to do with me, I might just make an exception for Avi Dar and Matan Shalev.
Besides being packed full of perfect men, the scenery in this film is out of this world. Well, I guess it’s really just out of this hemisphere, but it’s pretty fantastic too.
Anyways, congrats to Michael Lucas and Lucas Entertainment on winning the 2010 GAYVN Award for Best Selling Title. In a world in which money talks, I’m guessing this is the best award to win!
I was also thrilled to see that Chi Chi LaRue’s Black Balled 7 – Jail Slammed took home a trophy this year. Cameron Adams is the lucky white boy who finds himself on the receiving end of a ten man gangbang starring some really beautiful (and hung) studs.
I won’t name all of them, but knowing that Race Cooper, Eddie Diaz and Freakzilla Diego are in this film should be enough to make you go check it out.
Another great thing about this film is that LaRue takes the epic series to a whole new level by mixing things up a bit, even though he obviously had a winning formula. What that means for us, the lucky viewers, is that we get to see Adams top Osian before the prisoners set their sites on his pretty ass! LaRue took a risk and it paid off when the film won Best Group Sex Scene!

This partnership marks the first time the adult retailer has combined cause marketing and co-branding, and Babeland will sell the new flavor exclusively during the month of October as part of its ongoing efforts to fight breast cancer using the power of compelling personal lifestyle products.
“Dean is passionate about the cause and our companies have similar missions rooted in education, health and pleasure,” Babeland Director of Marketing Anne Semans said. “Sliquid formulas are glycerin- and paraben-free and are a favorite among Babeland customers and staff. By supporting organizations like YSC, the adult industry can do good in more ways than one!”
Following its exclusive Babeland debut, the new flavor will be available to retailers nationwide starting Nov. 1. Both Semans and Elliott anticipate this formula to be a top-seller on par with Sliquid’s tried-and-true Green Apple variety because of its slightly sweet yet tastefully light flavor.
“Pink Lemonade is whimsical and we wanted the flavor to be compelling for those who have never tried a flavored lubricant,” Semans said. “Sliquid already carries several well-crafted flavored lubes so we had full faith in Dean’s ability to produce the perfect combination of sweet and tart. The Babeland staff taste tested six different formulas before selecting the winner.”
Elliott is just as pleased with the end result and looks forward to helping raise money for an organization that caters to a demographic that so closely matches Sliquid’s and Babeland’s—making for a perfect fundraising fit, Semans said.
“We want to partner with organizations that synch with our mission and vision and that was certainly the case here,” Semans said. “Our customers are the same people they’re serving and it seemed appropriate to connect them. We have a lot to offer women living with cancer and cancer survivors.”
The Young Survival Coalition is an organization dedicated to working with young women affected by and afflicted with breast cancer. YSC works with survivors, caregivers and the medical, research, advocacy and legislative communities to increase the quality and quantity of life for women diagnosed with breast cancer ages 40 and under.

The GAYVN Nominees were announced a couple of weeks ago and, since I love gay porn, I am pretty excited to share a few of my favorites with you in this week’s Top Five Tuesday. While the winner’s haven’t been announced yet, there’s too much good XXX to ignore.
Black Balled 7 – Jail Slammed: There’s been quite a buzz about this movie in the office since we added it recently, so I had to check it out almost immediately. Cameron Adams is absolutely amazing in it as he takes on a gang of really hot men. Highly recommended!
Men Of Israel: This is one of my favorite movies of the year. I mean, I honestly can’t think of a porno that has a better looking cast – each man is like a perfect god and we get to watch them fuck! It’s totally rad. Anyways, Jonathan Agassi and Matan Shalev were nominated for Best Duo Sex Scene and definitely would have my vote, if I had one.
Dressed (Down & Dirty): Nominated for Best Amateur/Pro-Am Release, this one from UKNakedMen is packed full with really hot dudes including mega-hung hottie Matt Hughes. This is one of the best new gay studios of the year, in my opinion, and I’d love to see them recognized for their good work. Don’t miss Axel Ryder and Jake Ryder getting it on in a dirty garage. You haven’t lived until you’ve seen a muscular dude getting drilled on a pile of tires.
Houseboy: I honestly feel like this one doesn’t really need me to hype it up because the cover is so damn hot that I can’t imagine a world where everyone wouldn’t want to watch it. This one is nominated for Best Feature Release and Best Actor and features some really gorgeous Euro twinks. Eurocreme always delivers, but this one really stands out
Buck Angel’s Ultimate Fucking Club: I was thrilled to see Buck Angel nominated for Best Alternative Release this year. There’s no denying that his movies are super hot and it’s nice to see more mainstream organizations recognizing his work. If you love Buck as much as we do, than you’ll be glad to hear we’ll be adding UFC 2 in the near future!
Since Hollywood is obsessed with remaking perfectly good movies into utter crap, I thought it might be a good idea to show them how the whole business should be done. The purpose of remaking a classic shouldn’t be to showcase some movie star’s super privileged kid, it should be to improve it. After my brilliant idea to remake La Dolce Vita into an amazing queer porno, I thought I’d see if I could come up with a list of five hot movies that need to be queered up!
Sunshine Highway 2: I thought I’d start off with a road trip movie just because I’d love to follow the twitter conversation as stars headed out on the great American highways for a little XXX action. More importantly, I’d love to see some of my favorite queer porn stars in cowboy hats fucking over hay bales and in pick-up trucks. U.S.A! U.S.A!
Turned On!: I’d love to see a reinterpretation of this classic film from Bijou because, years after seeing it, I’m still thinking about this one. It’s basically the tale of the gorgeous Al Parker’s obsession with Sky Donovan and is really a mind trip. The final scene is a super hot orgy that is made a little creepy by the fact that everyone is wearing a Donovan mask. Parker was one of the best, but I’d still love to see what could be done with the story today.
The Grafenberg Spot: Artie Mitchell’s classic The Grafenberg Spot stands on it’s own, no doubt. With Nina Hartley, Amber Lynn, John Holmes and more, this is a true classic and a film I highly recommend watching. Regardless, I’d love to see this film, which was shot in San Francisco, interpreted by a whole new crew of bay area artists. I’m sure it would be a wet and wild good time!
Autobiography Of A Flea: I actually just highlighted this film a couple of weeks ago, but it’s perfect for this list too and I’m sticking with it! If you’re reading this Madison Young, this one is for you! A smart classic film just dying for a little life – get too it…
Jenna Loves Pain: I picked this movie mostly because I want to see Syd Blakovich take on a slew of hot stars in a super kinky film. The original is great because it’s really beautifully shot, but I would love to see Syd explore all of her darkest fantasies in one high-end fetish film.
