Sharon Mitchell, currently known as Dr. Sharon Mitchell, began her long and diverse career as an off-Broadway dancer who toured with the well-known Martha Graham Company (whose creator, in an interesting tidbit, was named “dancer of the century” by Time Magazine in 1998). Along with Dr. Steven York, Sharon created the Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation (AIM); it came to fruition as a sort of much-needed reaction to the growing HIV outbreaks in the adult industry in the late 1990’s. Today, AIM sees about 700 clients per month, expanding out to two tangible locations and counting for such relative services as: HIV/AIDS testing, STD testing and treatment, gynecological services, various arenas of counseling and industry-friendly educational groups. It has become quite a production; a necessary if not life-saving endeavor that is the result of pure compassion, dedication and drive.
Dr. Sharon Mitchell is considered an activist and educator for sexworkers (those involved in the adult industry, whether it be film, dancing or prostitution) all over. Among her top extensive (and nothing short of impressive!) accomplishments are the development of relations between AIM and local (particularly Los Angeles County) and national health services. She has also worked closely with the South African government toward improving health conditions and protocols in similar fields.
Knowing how difficult and trying it is to turn your life around, imagine doing so for many lives beyond your own. That is what this one woman does on a daily basis, and why she fits suit as a woman to admire, a woman who inspires, and a woman worth featuring on our site!

Truly gorgeous Seka is known the world over as one of the hottest adult film stars of all time. Born Dorothiea Ivonniea Hundley in Radford, Virginia, the “platinum princess of porn” is actually a natural brunette of Irish and Cherokee Indian descent. As a young woman, Seka won multiple beauty pageants, including “Miss Southside Virginia” and “Miss Hopewell High School.” Also known as Dottie, she operated several adult bookstores in the 1970s, until she left for Las Vegas, where she did her first nude layout.

Kurt Lockwood was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in Theatre and a minor in English then moved to California to tour with a rock band.
