I never thought I’d hear myself saying this, but I wonder how much money it would cost for a plane ticket to Lansing, Michigan? The whole thing has a sort of 8mm film feel and even though there is music, you can still hear dialogue and laughing in the background, which I love. All in all, it looks like everyone was having a really good time.
While I really liked all the scenes and think they each had something special to offer, my favorite of the bunch was definitely scene 4. A quick note before I talk about the scene: I don’t know how these performers identify, so I’m gonna stick with vague, male-ish descriptors and gender neutral pronouns and go from there. Ok, back to the sex! The scene starts with two folks standing up and fucking. All in all, this movie is a fun and sexy reminder that you don’t need big budgets, professional lighting or fancy cameras to bring super hot action to the screen. If you’ve got the passion and the performers, you’ve got an awesome porno right there. Oh, and it reminds me to book my flight…

A scene like this is enough to make me want to go back to school! April Flores and Carlos Batts make a great team. With Batts behind the camera and Flores in front, the married couple bring depth and sex appeal to everything they touch. Ok, back up. This Shine Louise Houston movie follows a crew filming a documentary crew looking at the mating habits of lesbians. Yep, it’s all very National Geographic-esque , down to the tag tracking devices. Basically, Houston took a really funny idea and made a totally smart and sexy queer porno that has just the right amount of high jinks and hotness.
Watching this movie right now is kind of extra fun for me because I just met some of these people for the first time a few days ago, and while I’ve seen their movies tons of times, it’s ever more fun now that I know how rad they are in person too. My favorite scene of the movie was the third, with Will, Papi and Jiz Lee (billed as Beau Flex). I don’t watch a lot of M2F porn, but when I stumbled up on this “Transumentary” the other day, I was curious and couldn’t resist learning a little bit more about it’s star, Kimber James.

I was a little disappointed with this movie, I hate to admit. As an ardent pop culture junkie, I was gung-ho about reviewing this 2009 AVN Nominee for Best Transsexual Release because I totally thought I was going to get some sort of reality T.V. spoof… or at least a little competition. America’s Next Top Tranny? I mean, come on, it screams at least one good catfight. But no - no hair pulling or posing or anything like that.
