The long awaited debut of Sweetheart Video has finally arrived at Hot Movies For Her. Nica Noelle, who previously wrote, directed and performed critically acclaimed titles for Girlfriends Films as Sydni Ellis, is the full creative force behind this new studio - and after reading her “Between Takes” columns here we are very excited to have it!
What makes Sweetheart Video different? For one, I know Nica puts her whole heart into it. She is an amazing woman (if you haven’t figured that out yet!), and very selective in who she casts and what is done. She makes sure the women in the movies truly want to be with other women and have real orgasms - not just a paycheck! Plus, unlike many other movies, they don’t cut during sex scenes or position the women for the camera as opposed to their pleasure, which (unlike even in some big budget “high quality” movies) keeps the sex as hot and natural as it gets.
You may notice a man’s name in the Sweetheart Video studio description and think, is this content truly by Nica? Let me assure you, it is. Nica Noelle’s erotic visions are amazing, and Sweetheart Video is her outlet. (And on a side note, Jon is also one of nicest guys I’ve met in the industry, which makes their business collaboration even better.)

I’m not sure if you noticed, but there aren’t a ton of great lesbian-owned studios creating porn specifically for women. Kathy Annelle and her partner Shoosh have been creating great lesbian content with women in mind since 2006 and I’m super excited that we’re now offering Triangle Films’ sexy flicks for you!
I should warn you before going any further, you’re going to find some unusual features in Annelle’s films. For example, you may be familiar with a little something called “plot” from popular movies like Juno or The Illusionist. Well, it turns out that there was once a golden age of porn when adult movies told a story just like regular moving pictures. Sure, that story typically wasn’t very good, but they tried and it helped to create a fantasy. Triangle has taken a page from our filthy forefathers and incorporated storylines into their movies. I know! It’s crazy!
Another thing you may stumble upon, which is nowadays as elusive as the mythical yeti, is kissing! That’s right, they’ve captured girls kissing, passionately, on film. It turns out that not every sexual encounter begins with a cock, toy or hand being thrust into a woman’s pussy. Sometimes people participate in something called “foreplay” and Annelle never rushes her girls. The result is an erotic buildup to some amazingly hot action!
The final mysterious thing I’ve come across in Triangle movies are high production values. The lighting and sound are good, the camera work is well thought out, and the sets vary from scene to scene! Watching five couples screw on the same filthy couch doesn’t really do it for me, so I appreciate the thought that goes into the little aspects of these movies. It’s also refreshing to not see the boom mic and production team running around a set.
Just so you know, I’m not the only one who thinks Triangle Films is swell. They were the recipient of three 2008 AVN award nominations for their work, including two in the Best All-Girl Series category for Intimate Invitation and Boundaries.
Basically, if you’re into lesbian porno, you can’t go wrong with this studio. Intimate Invitation is the perfect series for someone looking for lots of kissing, cunnilingus, and real orgasms. If you’re into something with more of an edge, you’ll love the Boundaries series. They have the same intimate feeling, but feature strap-on play, spanking, blindfolds and more as the women explore their sexuality.

1. How (and when) did you get started in the industry?
I got started in the industry in 2002. I felt a strong need and desire to create a new generation of adult entertainment for women. I wanted the feel to be more hip and an all around cooler vibe - truly for and by women.
2. If you weren’t in the adult industry, what would you be doing?
Well, I came from the mainstream side of film. I had worked my way up the ladder and directed my first music video on 35mm in my late 20’s. So, I guess I would be directing non-adult material.
3. What’s the best thing you’ve learned or best advice you’ve received from the industry?
Never settle just to get something going or you will get lost in the crowd.
4. What’s the funniest thing that’s happened while filming?
One of my shooters almost fell through a hole in the roof that they were shooting from. Everything came down except the camera (Thank God) they got a bit carried away with the scene and lost their balance along with their pride. It was clear why they were falling.
5. What do you think is the biggest misconception about women in the industry?
That they are fucked up on drugs or have been abused in their life. The girls that we work with are confident girls trying to find their way in the world like everyone else. They are just sexually free, which I think more people should be. Some of them posses a freedom most outside of the industry can only dream of.
6. What did you do today?
I answered these questions and then my fiancee (Niki Clover) and I took our dog to the beach in malibu were we live. After that we chilled and watched a movie. Fooled around a little bit….and tonight we’re going to a party in Hollywood.
7. What would you rather have done today?
Golf, stayed in bed having sex all day and shot another Erocktavision film.
8. If you could do a movie with anyone (living or brought back from the dead) who would it be?
Niki Clover, Angelina Jolie, and Madonna - how hot would that be?
9. Who is your favorite adult performer?
That’s a no brainer, Niki Clover
10. You’ve got 20 bucks left to your name; what would you do with it?
Depending on the situation around me, I would either play blackjack with half of it and try to double it, give it to someone more needy then me, or smoke a fatty on the way to IN and OUT burger while saying a prayer.
11. If you were president, what’s the first thing you’d change?
No one would be homeless or hungry. Equal rights for all.
12. What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done?
Honestly, I usually just laugh at myself when I do anything silly. It takes a lot to embarrass me. Trust me, my friends have tried for years.
13. Which is your favorite project you’ve worked on?
Erocktavision volumes 4 & 5 are a close tie
14. If you could have 1 superpower what would it be?
The ability to fly.
15. Meat or veggie?
I’mcarnivorous for sure! But I do struggle from time to time because I’m a huge animal lover.
16. What is your favorite book?
The Diary of Anne Frank.I just connected with it as a young women and it had a profound effect on me.
17. What is your biggest pet peeve?
I am pretty easy (in more ways then one) - not too picky. I do like things clean and somewhat organized or I can’t think clearly.
18. What is your best piece of sex advice for women?
To truly connect with your partner. Share your likes and dislikes. Don’t be afraid of really letting go and try not to compare yourself to other women’s bodies all the way down to the size of your clitoris. Love and treasure the body parts that give you pleasure. If you can really do that then your sex life will be amazing.

20. Tell me one thing you’ve never told anyone else.
