I’ve always had a thing for objects that do double duty. Whether it’s the ottoman that holds my extra blankets or even something as simply genius a clock radio, these multi-taskers totally have my appreciation. And as someone with a small apartment and no storage space, I’ve grown to demand that my belongings work extra hard to earn their keep in my tight quarters (oh, the pun is so intended).

So when I heard about a vibrator that moonlights as an electric razor, not only was I totally curious and excited about a toy that takes on two tasks, I was pumped to bring a sex toy into my house that does more than just get me off! Of course I am totally fine with any toy that only gets me off, but since I have such a big toy collection in such a small apartment, the Touché Masturazor gets bonus points for going that extra mile.

Seven inches of pure velvety silicone that houses both a bullet vibe and an electric razor. Pretty fancy, huh? The bullet slides into a nook on the side of the bulbous head and turns on/off by a little switch on the exposed part sticking out of the silicone. To use the razor, which is buried in the middle of the shaft just pull the curved handle and the cover will pop off. The on/off switch is on the side of the razor and includes a stop that makes it impossible for the razor to be on while the cover is on (which is a relief to those of us that don’t feel 100% comfortable with the idea of a razor on near our bits while we are in a less than attentive state).

When it comes to the bullet vibe in the Masturazor, I was less than thrilled. Expecting something higher quality to match the nice silicone and pretty packaging, I was surprised when the bullet looked like a cheap piece of plastic crap that was really difficult to turn off and on. And to get the bullet out of its silicone cave, you need a special bullet key that comes with the vibe. It’s basically a thin piece of metal with a curved end that you jam into the silicone hole and use to yank out the bullet. I suppose it is a good thing though, since it means it’s easier to clean the silicone without worrying about getting the bullet too wet. And I can’t forget to mention that the actual vibrations were nothing to write home about either. Not awful, but definitely on the weak side.

Razor-wise, this toy wasn’t too bad. I thought it did a pretty good trim job and would be a fun little tool for folks that enjoy erotic shaving. The razor includes a little brush and an attachment comb that changes the length of the hair being cut, which are super helpful additions. One thing though – the velvety silicone of the toy attracts all the little hairs! What a turn off! I don’t know if that’s a total deal breaker, but it was super annoying to deal with.

And lastly, two side pieces. First, the Masturazor comes with batteries, which is always a plus. The last thing I want to do when I want to get off is have to dig around for batteries. Secondly, the instruction booklet makes no sense to me. Maybe it’s for a different product or something, but there were instructions to put batteries in places that didn’t exist. They also make a weird comment about folks not needing to use lube with their toys because they are so awesome, which I think is a load of crap. Lube makes almost everything better and telling people not to use it is a bizarre idea. Anyway, maybe that is just a personal rant, but it rubbed me the wrong way.

To sum it up in a nutshell – if I was into erotic shaving this may be the perfect toy, but otherwise, I doubt I would use it again.
