Please don't judge me by my name - story HERE. I am 20/30 something... I love the cock but am totally down with girl on girl porn (but after an odd night at a strip club I know that I am not so into real-life pussy in my face). I started this site in 2006 and have since fell into an interesting world of porn. Oddly enough, I travel a lot to "mainstream" porn/adult webmaster conventions, so beware: sometimes my "pc factor" is out the window. On that note, I travel a lot, so I'm not the most frequent writer...
Porn I like: Porn with passionate sex. I don't care who's doing it - if there's passion in the scene, I feel the heat. Um, and hot guys. Hot dirty guys....
Guilty Pleasures:
America's Next Top Model
The Flavor of Love
Beauty and the Geek (I am secretly in love with all of the geeks)
Back to the Beach
Nightmare on Elm St (ALL of them)

Last year marked the first year of the Feminist Porn Awards, sponsored by GoodForHer.com. Chanelle Gallant, manager of Good for Her and the event’s organizer explains: “Good For Her came up with the idea for the Feminist Porn Awards because people don’t know they have a choice when it comes to porn. Yes, there’s a lot of bad porn out there. But there is also some great porn being made by and for women. We wanted to recognize and celebrate the good porn makers as well as direct people to their work.”

To close out the month of May, the official month of masturbation, we present you a special guest column from a very special lady!
Written By Darklady
They call me The Masturbation Lady.
Who “they” are varies but, by-and-large, “they” are people who’ve heard that I host Portland’s annual Masturbate-a-thon fundraiser. By that definition, I am most certainly The Masturbation Lady.
There are others, not the least of whom is Betty Dodson, who are more worthy of being called “The” Masturbation Lady. By comparison, I am merely A Masturbation Lady.
But every Masturbation Lady matters, lemme tell you. Likewise, every Masturbation Gentleman.
Masturbation is everyone’s birthright. Indeed, self stimulation is one of the most natural and yet strangely taboo things that a person can do. As children, we began to explore our surroundings in an ongoing attempt to make sense of them and figure out where we fit into the grand scheme of things. Along the way, we discovered that some of our surroundings fit nicely into and up against various parts of our body. Sometimes – like when we try to lick an icy flagpole or jam our fingers into a light socket – we discover that this intersection of our body and the world around it isn’t necessarily comfortable. Other times – like when we rub against some of our more tender and meaty bits or put a finger into nearly any orifice other than the eye – we discover that it feels very, very good.
Masturbation, whether part of the innocent discovery of how our bodies work or an experienced part of shared or solo intimacy and/or relaxation, is one of the consequence free activities that we should be able to enjoy without guilt or shame. No matter what our age, sex, height, weight, health, income level, partnership status, heritage, gender identity, or religion, enjoying the simple pleasures to be found in one’s own touch seems an obvious basic human right. Alas, that’s not necessarily how the so-called dominant culture has seen it — as Surgeon General Dr. Joycelyn Elders learned while serving the supposedly liberal Democratic President Bill Clinton after she had the audacity to propose that adolescents and teens might be less likely to fall into bed with one another if they knew how to get themselves off.
In honor of Ms. Elders’ largely unappreciated courage and good sense (and cuz it helps sell sex toys) Good Vibrations and Toys in Babeland proclaimed May to be National Masturbation Month in 1995. Originally focused on quiet educational activism and per-minute fundraising conducted in the privacy of one’s own home, the profile of National Masturbation Month changed six years ago, when San Francisco’s sexologist Carol Queen hosted the first Masturbate-a-thon party – and I, Portland’s infamous sex writer, returned home to host my own Masturbate-a-thon mere weeks later. Last year, with the generous help of The Crucible and HotMovies.com, Queen and I traveled to the national’s capitol to introduce the locals to the Masturbate-a-thon legacy. The world has not been the same since.
It’s amazing how three cities can respond so differently to such a universal practice. But then again, just as the visions and methodologies of the various event organizers are not identical, neither are the cultural norms of the locals or the ways in which they prefer to express, celebrate, or explore their sexuality. For instance, while San Francisco’s annual event embraces and celebrates a sense of competitive fun while promoting a more purist definition of masturbation, Portland’s focuses more on collaboration, cooperation, and an expanded view of what activities qualify.
Portland’s 2006 Masturbate-a-thon employed a “Pajama Party of Pleasure” theme complete with sexy games of Spin the Bottle and Truth or Dare, as well as the more serious business of kinky dungeon play, a sex positive silent auction, noshing over a potluck buffet, grooving to masturbation themed tunes, watching a transvestite fuck a ring of balloons, pondering solo sex videos projected onto the buffet room walls by HotMovies, and auditioning a wide array of powerful sex machines including the Sybian, Thrillhammer, Monkey Rocker, Dorky Donkey, and locally created and forearm mounted Sex Kitten.
In spite of being called The Masturbation Lady, I’m still a mortal female with the usual socially and parentally installed and reinforced “issues” surrounding my body. Richard Bach once wrote that “We teach best what we most need to learn” and that’s certainly been true during my life and career path have merged. Although game to try nearly anything on the theoretical level, there’s always a certain amount of trepidation when I actually give “it” – whatever “it” is at the moment – a try.
During the “Pajama Party of Pleasure,” my “it” was riding both the wild Thrillhammer and the super charged Sybian for the first time – and doing so in front of an audience. During the physically and emotionally intense experience, I learned an important lesson: like anal sex, when riding a Sybian it’s true that you really can’t go wrong adding a little bit more lube – especially when a beautiful sadist is in charge of the remote control.
This year “it” will likely be testing the Monkey Rocker for comfort and effectiveness. Since it’s self-powered, any friction burns I sustain this time around will be my own damn fault.
I once had someone sneer at the ‘thon and attempt to demean it by insisting that an orgasm had never saved anybody’s life. While it’s true that neither a male nor female ejaculation will ever perform brain surgery, nor will a strong set of puboccygeus muscles ever divert a train away from a cowering giggle of schoolgirls, denying the healing power of the orgasm, especially when achieved by one’s own efforts, not only sells sex down the river, (including, but not limited to solo sex), but also buys into lies about personal autonomy that have too long kept us in social roles that don’t serve us well.
In a culture where we’ll treat ourselves to a latte, a cigarette, a drive-thru burger or burrito – why is it seen as an act of desperation to enjoy the healthy sensation of one’s own body experiencing delight? How better to get to know the contours of our more hidden anatomy, to make sure that everything is in working order, to learn how our bodies responds to various kinds of stimulation, and to take responsibility for our own pleasure.
What better way is there to find out what to ask for when we are with a partner and what better way to find out what to do when enjoying our own company, whether from choice or necessity? What better, safer, more personal form of loving can there be than self-loving? It seems to me that if we remove the shame and guilt associated with finding pleasure in our own bodies and our ability to bring about that pleasure, we remove a number of obstacles to communication and intimacy that shame and guilt keep in place. When sex with ourselves becomes a perfectly fine way to have sex, sex with others can have more to do with genuine desire, pleasure, and love and less to do with obligation and expectation. Plus, it’s fun and just plain good for you — so why not dedicate an entire month to it?
With opinions like these, it’s no wonder they call me The Masturbation Lady. Wouldn’t you like to be a Masturbation Lady (or Gentleman), too?
Cum one, cum all! And during Masturbate-a-thon time, cum for a cause!

We’re all back and recovered from a wonderful time at the Dinah Shore Weekend in Palm Springs, CA. Such an amazing time! I went with I.M. Butch, Dutchie Van Dyke and the Porn Librarian. Between the fabulous pool parties and the exciting evenings, and all the amazing people we got to meet, it was a great trip. We spent some time during the day by the pools, giving away tank tops, free porn, temporary tattoos and more, and I got to wet down the ladies (to help them put on their tattoos of course!). In the evenings, we enjoyed ourselves at all of the parties, especially the White Party and Milan! We met Renee O’Connor (Gabrielle from Xena), Suzanne Westenhoefer, Bitch (now known at Capital b), and more. What a great time.
All of the women at this event were fabulous and fun to meet, and I’m so glad we got to talk to so many of them… and I wasn’t disappointed with the eye candy either! These few days were like time in paradise; amazing women, hot stars, free porn and lots of sun; what more could a girl want?
To all of you whom we met; thanks for coming out and being so much fun, and for the rest of you, where were you? You missed a wild and wonderful time, hot women, and much more. We’d better see you next time!
If you haven’t yet, check out the rest of our pics on MySpace.com/HotmoviesForHer!
