I went to library school but ended up working in the adult industry instead. I'm sure that happens to a lot of librarians. Now I get to catalog copious amounts of pornography and use the Women’s Studies degree that many deemed worthless.
When I’m not indulging in pornographic materials, I like riding my bike, high-fiving and will read anything you put in front of me. I’m most proud of the fact that at 30, I can still do pull-ups and am pretty sure I could rock the Presidential Fitness Test.
Oh. And I like Sluts. Sluts Rock. It’s just got to be the right slut. |

Over the last two years, my job in porn has quickly evolved into a something I’ve avoided until now, a career. That’s right, I’m climbing the corporate ladder in the adult entertainment world, and I’ve never given a blowjob. For a lesbian who has a degree in Women’s Studies and then went to graduate school to become a librarian this is at times confusing, often empowering and an experience that makes me question a great deal of what I was once so confident in.
Since my plan to go to school forever didn’t work out, I’ve decided to study pornography. I’m going to watch porn and try to figure out how I really feel about it and what that means about my sexuality. I’m going to read about pornography in industry magazines, online, in books and anywhere else I can find it (any suggestions?) I’m going to look at radical anti-pornography crusaders like Andrea Dworkin for the first time since college, research the impressive women who work within the industry and try to understand how they’ve changed it. For me, it’s going to be all porn all the time!
This blog is my attempt to make sense of it all, to try to help my friends understand why I suddenly talk about cock a lot, and hopefully a place where I can get some feedback and further my quest to consider pornography from all angles and then reconsider what I think I know.

So I’m sitting in my empty apartment, waiting out the next 4 hours until I get on the road as I finally finish my move into a new place and come across a movie called “Moving Day.” I took this as a sign and decided to review it. My first observation is that these girls do not have a lot of stuff to move. I’m having a hard time relating because I just spent 5 hours packing and cleaning. However, I continue watching and soon discover that there is more to moving than I originally thought! These two cute college girls are so excited to be out of the dorms and into their first apartment together that they can’t wait to pull each others clothes off. They start out giggling while kissing and end up moaning, face deep in pussy. They truly enjoy each other throughout, and that’s what makes this one worth watching. The plot is a little campy, the sex is hot and it’ll make you think back to the time when you could move every thing you owned in one car. It’s also given me a little hope that this entire moving day will not be for nothing!

I could say a lot of great things about Ecstasy in Berlin 1926 but one of my favorite things about this film is that it is never rushed. It’s a slow, sensuous journey through one woman’s erotic fantasies. The women and the camera work are gorgeous. The boot worship scene, in which our blonde bombshell worships her curvaceous Dom before she’s bound and receives a sensuous flogging, is one great example among many. This is not a movie you fast-forward through, looking for the good stuff. From the opening scene, Maria Beatty weaves an erotic tale that is bound to consume you.

Fifteen years ago I devoured “The Story of O” behind a locked door in my bedroom while my parents watched “The Wheel of Fortune.” For those of you who haven’t sat down with it, and you should if you haven’t, it is a beautifully written novel that captivates the audience with its explicit tale of sexual submission. Now, more than 50 years later, Adam & Eve have released a tantalizing interpretation: “O – The Power Of Submission” starring the always incredible Carmen Luvana. Veteran director Ernest Green manages to adapt this classic into today’s Los Angeles while staying true to the original concept. This brilliant new fuck flick has an amazing cast and includes a cameo by Nina Hartley. Green combines today’s hottest stars with gorgeous cinematography, great music, and the hottest fetish gear around. Those things meld with the overall themes of dominance and submission to create some of the most intense scenes I’ve seen this year. A must see for porn aficionados and literary nerds alike!
