It’s summer so I’m sure I’m not the only femme on the planet doing the bikini line battle thing right about now. When we got a call from Bikini Kitty asking if HotMoviesForHer had any ladies with coarse hair types that wanted to try out one of their hair removal lines, I jumped at the opportunity. Thankfully since I’m the only one here with a coarse (also known as straight up nappy wool) hair type, there was blessedly little contention over who would get to try out the product.
Packaging counts big time; it’s always nice when a particular item arrives in the office and we all gather round, cooing over the packaging and patting ourselves on the back that we’ve definitely picked a treat this time. Seriously, it’s like Christmas comes to Porntown – without all the humping of Santa and his elves. My Bikini Kitty Shaving Kit came in a clear plastic bag with pink handles and little snaps at the top, a big picture of their mascot lounged on the front of the bag but despite being entirely see through it was perfectly discrete for the train ride home. Not a bad start at all. Read the rest of this entry »

When it comes to sex toys, I’m not usually one to go for a gimmick. I’ve got little interest in the dildo based off of some pop culture phenomenon, or the mediocre vibe that comes with lube, toy cleaner, a bag and a fancy package. All I want is a sturdy toy that gets the job done right and withstands the test of time. And funnily enough, I got an awesome toy that has definitely passed the time test – all while being a total gimmick at the very same time. Ladies, meet Iconic Smoothie!
Before I go into the awesomeness that is Smoothie herself, let me explain what I mean by gimmick. Sex-positive toy makers JimmyJane gathered up a bunch of the most popular vibrator styles ever and gave them each updated body-safe materials and a makeover in JimmyJane’s signature white – creating The Usual Suspects line. Featuring buzzing favorites like the Rabbit (now called Iconic Rabbit), the Pocket Rocket (Iconic Rocket), Rub My Duckie (Iconic Duckie) and more, this six piece collection returns the best of old-school sexiness to the forefront of the market. So gimmicky, yes, but awesome none the less.
The toy I received from this collection is the Iconic Smoothie. I guarantee you know this vibe – hell it was probably your very first sex toy. Basically, the Smoothie is a hard plastic insertable vibrator. No bells, no whistles, no rotating pearls – just a phallic shape and a wheel controller at the bottom to change the speed and turn it on/off. This style of vibe comes in a million different incarnations – with slight changes in length and girth I’m sure, but they are all pretty much the same. There isn’t much you can change about this toy logistically – which is probably a good thing because it keeps the price down. This baby is only $20!
Since this is such a well know vibe style, I’ve known about the smoothie for a while, yet never really thought it was for me. I’m not super into hard plastic toys, and I just didn’t think I would enjoy it. Boy was I wrong! The Iconic Smoothie is awesome! The hard plastic turned out to be really well suited for my vag and though I would have enjoyed a wider girth (this one is 1 ¼”), it still left me with a delicious fullness. As well, all I had to do was tilt the vibe when I was first entering my vag and there it was, buzzing right along my g-spot. Very nice! Plus the wheel controller is way easier to maneuver than trying to find and press the right buttons while you’re in the thick of action.
All-in-all, I was pleasantly surprised by the Iconic Smoothie, though I should have known better than to even question it – everything JimmyJane touches turns to pure gold.
Try out a Smoothie of your own!

When I first started outlining this review, I thought I was a pretty easy going person, lube wise. I don’t need a lot a frills, vegan ingredients or fancy, fruity flavoring – just a good quality product that keeps things going. But as I listed my pros and cons of the Better Sex Essentials Liquid Lubricant, I began to realize that I require more from my lube than originally suspected.
Let me tell you a bit about this specific lube before going off on my rant. Better Sex Essentials Liquid Lubricant is a water-based lube from Sinclair Intimacy Institute. According to the bottle it is expert recommended, hypoallergenic, glycerin- free, non-toxic and latex compatible. Sounds like it would be a good pick, but unfortunately it didn’t really measure up to my apparently high standards. Ok, onward to my grumblings.
First, lube needs to be slippery. Duh, right? Well, you’d be surprised. The nature of lube is to make your bits nice and slick to enhance pleasurable friction. Sounds right to me. So, why do lubes get sticky and gummy so quickly? Yes, stickiness is a known problem with water-based lubes, so I can’t blame Better Sex Essentials for the problem, but it’s highly frustrating when you want to get off and you need to keep adding water (read: adding spit) to the lube to reactivate it. I will say that Better Sex Essentials wasn’t better or worse than any other water-based option I’ve tried. If you’re looking for long-lasting slide, you’ve gotta go with silicone-based. I’ve been kind of in love with the concept of Honey Dust since I first heard about a similar tasty powder found on the body of a victim on the crime drama “Bones.” Yeah I know – dead people, not sexy, but the concept of sweet tasting body powder totally had me intrigued. I’m not usually one for food in my bed, or on my body; all I think about is the sticky mess someone’s going to have to clean up and it damned well won’t be me! But I figured I could totally handle a light dusting of sweet powder, and I’ve always wanted to try out some of Kama Sutra’s products too – with a name like “Kama Sutra” it had better be good!

All that added up to me being super jazzed when my Kama Sutra Love Essentials Kit arrived in the mail. In the interest of sharing the joy, I opened it up right in the office so everyone could admire my new toys and the packaging. Everything was nestled neatly into this little cardboard box with a kind of dark jungle motive on it. Of course I grabbed the feather duster first and gave myself a little experimental pat. Nice, but I didn’t see it as a powder applicator – way too sparse at the tip and too compact at the bottom. Read the rest of this entry »

I’m hesitant to say that my first experience with a sex toy was lackluster, but I guess I should be honest. Bullets just aren’t for me. Since then, I’ve wondered what it is that would make a toy worthwhile in my eyes. Gino has been several steps up in the right direction.
Yet again, I was baffled at the use of a smaller than expected battery source. Triple As this time. I suppose I am energy bias. I prefer Double A batteries for everything. Simply because I know that if push came to shove, I could desperately get by on two for most devices in my apartment. Yet again though, I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of oomph that came through this device with those little electron pockets.
The Gino has 7 settings in all. Three of these are a simple vibration that gains in gradual strength as you rotate through the settings. They aren’t the most exciting, but if you prefer to start off a self love session with a slow warm up, this toy has the perfect steps. Other settings included are: Rollercoaster, Vibrating, Escalating, and Pulsating. These last four settings make the toy worth it. Read the rest of this entry »

You know I’m all about lube, so when Babeland offered me a chance to review the brand new formula of Babelube, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. The great thing about them is that I know they only sell the best, so I didn’t have to seek out an ingredient list before committing myself to trying it out.

It seems like the big change between the bottle I received and previous incarnations of Babelube is that it’s now paraben-free. This is totally awesome. You’ll also be pleased to hear that it’s glycerin-free, non-staining, gluten-free and, according to them, great for sensitive skin. Sounds good, right?
While it’s really important to consider what you’re putting on your most sensitive bits, it’s crucial that you choose a lubricant that actually works. Reapplying lube every five minutes definitely kills the mood and when you’re dealing with anal sex, a bad product can turn something that should be sexy into a negative experience.
Thankfully, I can say that Babelube is definitely good stuff. It’s surprisingly thick and long lasting for a water-based product. It also doesn’t really have any taste, which you can appreciate if you’ve ever ended up with a disgusting chemical taste in your mouth thanks to an inferior product.
The final thing I should point out is the convenient pump bottle you get if you decide to purchase the large 8 ounce size. It’s nice to not have to worry about ending up with a handful of lube because the pump ensures a reasonable amount every time. The smaller bottles don’t have the pump, but you’ll want a lot of this stuff anyways. It’s a dependable every day lube.
This is a really nice product that is affordable and body safe. If you’re still looking for a lube you can always count on, I would suggest giving Babelube a shot.

When you’ve been at toy reviewing as long as I have, any day I receive a unique toy is a banner day. When I opened a box to find the Little Su dildo I was pretty thrilled. This toy has been on my radar since I first saw it and is definitely unlike any thing I’ve used in the past.

The first thing that I should point out is that this toy isn’t really made for thrusting. You insert the bulbous end of the Little Su and then are supposed to rock against the stimulator that rests on the outside of your body. I really like the concept and think that Joya did a good job designing the toy.
This is also not a great toy to grab if you’re looking for a quick orgasm, although when combined with a pocket rocket it’ll do the job! For me, it’s more of a slow, sensual journey that ends in a big O and is really great for partnered play. I didn’t think there was any thing I liked more than eating pussy, but then i popped this baby in and went down on my girl! The extra sensations really add to the fun for everyone!
Joya also recommends that this is a good toy for two women to use together because the clit stimulator has bumps on both sides. It’s not my favorite way to enjoy it, but not a bad option either! Because silicone transfers vibration so well, I also enjoy combining this one with a bullet vibe for a little extra sensation.
The Little Su is made from medical grade silicone, which as you should know by now, means it can be sterilized so it’s perfect for sharing. I throw mine in the soup whenever I’m cooking up a batch of dildos.
Another nice perk is the packaging. This toy comes in a box that opens up like a book and is totally cute. It’s also great for storage and makes an attractive gift, if you like giving pervy gifts like us!
If you’re looking for a toy that is well-made and different than anything else on the market, you should definitely head over to Sextoys.com and check out Little Su!

Bikini Kitty’s Kat Nip is an aromatherapy treat that’s supposed to stimulate arousal through the power of scent. Basically this all-natural, vegan, organic, toxic, paraben and cruelty free product is supposed to work its magic through your olfactory senses directly on your brain, getting you up to 30% juicier than without use of the product.
It’s suggested that you apply the role-on to an area between breasts and navel and anywhere else you’d like your partner to pay special attention. Kat Nip even claims that it doesn’t really matter if you like the scent because the effect is subconscious. That was probably a warning sign, as the second I opened the bottle I knew I didn’t like the scent.
Anise hit my nose so strong and powerful it called up memories of imported black licorice or maybe absinthe (I’m not absolutely positive about that having never touched the stuff), cloying and strong enough to set off the delicate balance I’d won with my allergies and sending me right into a sneezing fit. Five minutes of violent mucus covered spasms later, I still hadn’t tried Kat Nip on my skin and was feeling decidedly less than sexy at the thought of the stuff on me. Still, I soldiered on, rolling a nice streak of the stuff from navel to breast and applying it to the crook of an arm and both wrists for good measure, then prepared for another incredibly unsexy sneezing fit.
And nothing happened. My test partner was eager enough to go but, I was under the impression that this particular aphrodisiac was supposed to work on myself. Just to be sure, I wore it to work the next day, to see if I experienced any increased wetness or got hit on by more random guys than usual. I didn’t experience either of those though I did feel rather silly running around the city smelling like an old sweet shop.
Sniff out some Kat Nip of your own!

I’ve always had a thing for objects that do double duty. Whether it’s the ottoman that holds my extra blankets or even something as simply genius a clock radio, these multi-taskers totally have my appreciation. And as someone with a small apartment and no storage space, I’ve grown to demand that my belongings work extra hard to earn their keep in my tight quarters (oh, the pun is so intended).

So when I heard about a vibrator that moonlights as an electric razor, not only was I totally curious and excited about a toy that takes on two tasks, I was pumped to bring a sex toy into my house that does more than just get me off! Of course I am totally fine with any toy that only gets me off, but since I have such a big toy collection in such a small apartment, the Touché Masturazor gets bonus points for going that extra mile.
Seven inches of pure velvety silicone that houses both a bullet vibe and an electric razor. Pretty fancy, huh? The bullet slides into a nook on the side of the bulbous head and turns on/off by a little switch on the exposed part sticking out of the silicone. To use the razor, which is buried in the middle of the shaft just pull the curved handle and the cover will pop off. The on/off switch is on the side of the razor and includes a stop that makes it impossible for the razor to be on while the cover is on (which is a relief to those of us that don’t feel 100% comfortable with the idea of a razor on near our bits while we are in a less than attentive state). Well, holy crap! When I unpacked the Pocket Fairy I had no idea what I was in store for. This is, without a doubt, the most powerful mini-vibe I’ve ever owned and I’ve got quite the collection.
At just about 6 inches long, this is the perfect travel accessory for those of you who need weapons grade sex toys to get off. It’s just the right size to throw in your purse for a night on the town. It’s easy to compare this toy to the Hitachi because it looks just like a baby one and with the amount of buzz this baby kicks out I think it’s accurate. Of course, it’s not as strong, but for such a small toy that is rechargeable, it’s impressive. Speaking of charging, it comes with an AC adapter and seems to hold a pretty good charge.
The Pocket Fairy is made from phthalate-free plastic, which is non-porous, but unfortunately can’t be sterilized. While I wish it could be, it’s hard to fault a toy that gets me off as quickly and effectively as this little guy! If you’re going to share yours, you can definitely use a barrier like a condom or dental dam no problem. I clean mine with anti-bacterial soap or a toy wipe when I have them around.
The only thing that may be a hinderance for some people is how loud this toy. It’s pretty crazy, but that’s the price you pay for mega-vibrations and I say it’s 100% worth it. If you’re secretly trying to get off while your roommate sleeps next to you, this might not be the toy for you.
I’ve taken to storing mine in a Ziploc bag, because I like to throw it in my overnight back and the plastic head picks up lint pretty easily. We all know what lives in the bottom of bags and purses, so you may want to just to be safe!
If you’re the type of girl who drags your Hitachi everywhere with you, I suggest you give this little guy a chance. It’s super powerful and fits in the palm of your hand!
Check out the Pocket Fairy at Edenfantasys.com!
