So many sex bloggers, so little time!  On Friday Venus and I hopped the Chinatown bus up to New York for the NYC Sex Bloggers Calendar Release Party.  Since we were one of the sponsors and we love supporting our sexy blogger community, we wanted to actually be there to help them celebrate the release of their awesome calendar…  and I really wanted to meet all of them in person.  You can only Twitter with people for so long before you want to actually meet them face to face.

We ended up getting there with a couple of hours to spare, so after checking into the hotel and putting all our stuff down, we grabbed some awesome Mexican food and wandered around window shopping for a little while before going back to the room to get ready.  Being the kind of femme (and totally indecisive) gal that I am, I brought a few outfits to choose from and funny enough, ended up picking the one that nearly matched Venus’!  I had a grey zebra print skirt and a black shirt and she wore a grey zebra shirt and a black skirt.  After giggling about being matchy matchy, we decided if anyone noticed, we’d just say it was the HotMoviesForHer dress code.  Smart thinkin’, huh?  Dressed and glamourous, we hopped a subway down to the White Rabbit for the party.

For the week up to the party and even on the way there, I kept telling Venus that all I wanted was to get there early enough to get one of the gift bags given to the first 100 people.  And though we arrived only 15 or 20 minutes after the doors opened, the place was PACKED and all the bags were doled out.  Bummed as I was to miss out on the goodie bags, I was super excited that the party was so well attended. 

Packed as it was, within the first few minutes we spotted the fabulous calendar girls Jamye Waxman and Audacia Ray (pictured with me above) and chatted them up for a bit.  It was so nice to FINALLY meet Audacia after working with her over email for the last year.  I was lucky enough to talk to her for a little while later inthe evening about doing sex education and got so into the conversation that I totally missed that I won a raffle prize.  Luckily Venus had my back, and my raffle tickets, and made sure I got my prize.

During the night I also had the pleasure of meeting some of my frequently follwed twitterers, including Debauched Domestic Diva, Catalina Loves, Urban Gypsy, Funky Brown Chick, Vera from For Your Nymphomation and Sinclair Sexsmith, some of which are in pin ups in the calendar.  They were all so amazingly nice and welcoming and just as excited to meet us gals from HMFH!

We also got to hang out with a few new friendly faces, including Natt Nightly, who has since become a frequently followed tweeter, Beautiful Rebecca , Marisa DiMattia from Needled and Match.  And I even got to see a friendly face from Philly that I knew from a while back.

Basically the party was a whirlwind of amazing bloggers, boobs (mainly Urban Gypsy’s overflowing corset), booze, burlesque and a Njoy Eleven that floated around gaining adoration as it waiting to be raffled off.

Afterwards the festivities ended, we grabbed a cab with Jamye Waxman and Darlinda Just Darlinda and popped over to another party in Tribeca, where we got to hang out with a whole host of awesome old school foks from the adult industry, including Vanessa Del Rio, women’s porn guru Candida Royalle, director Luc Wylder and male star Jamie Gillis (who I didn’t actually hang out with, but heard was there).  I did however get to meet my masturbation idol, the queen of self lovin’ herself, Betty Dodson, who I wasn’t able to cross paths with at AASECT.  She is just as fun and spunky as I hoped she would be.

All in all, the evening was amazing on all accounts and Venus and I got to meet so many awesome sexy sex folks.  Thanks to everyone to put together the party and the calendar.
