Years ago, before I was smart enough to know that lube is a girl’s best friend, I was a naïve college kid hooking up with a grown up. Of course, by grown up I mean someone who was in their early twenties but had a job and paid their own rent. This wonderful lady introduced me to the world of casual sex, lube, and Indian food. For that I owe her.
So back to my first lube experience. I was lucky. First, because she was a thoughtful and caring woman who noticed my quizzical look when she tossed me a bottle of lube and took the time to explain that it would just make things a little more fun. My first thought was that I didn’t think we needed any help in this department, but I quickly learned that a little lube goes a long way. Secondly, I was lucky because she had good lube. A number of years later, I’m still a fan of O’My and, after having tried a number of inferior products, am grateful that my first experience wasn’t a sticky mess.
If you know a little about O’My, then you’re not surprised that they make great lubricant. They describe themselves as a “sexual health and wellness company” and both products I’ve tested have been great.
O’My Natural Lubricant is a product designed to simulate a woman’s natural lubrication and it does a pretty good job at that. It’s not too thick or greasy but it adds a little extra slickness that any woman should appreciate. This one is a water-based product, so it’s safe to use with silicone and latex, and it’s also Paraben-free for those of you with sensitive skin.
Like most water-based products, you may need to reactivate the lube with a little water, but it’s definitely not one of those lubes that dries up every five minutes. Natural Lubricant has a slight sweet taste, but doesn’t have a bad aftertaste or leave you feeling like you ate a spoonful of Vaseline.
Finally - and this is really important to me, it comes in a really convenient pump bottle. This many not seem like a big deal to some of you, but if you imagine the frustration of a glass ketchup bottle combined with an overwhelming desire to fuck, you’ll begin to understand why packaging is important!
For those of you who are into flavored lubes, I can also recommend O’My Flavored Lubes. I’m a purist, so I enjoy my pussy to taste like just that, but every once in a while it’s fun to play with a quality flavored product. I should emphasize the importance of quality because a less conscious company will use ingredients like sugar that should never go anywhere near your girl parts.
I tried the Kiwi Strawberry, and it’s not bad at all. Their flavored lubes have all of the same ingredients and qualities of the Natural Lubricant I just raved on about, so I won’t repeat them. Just know that if you’re looking to add a little sweetness to the bedroom, they offer eight different flavors including Cappuccino – which, just for the record, I would definitely have to taste before ever recommending!
O’My is definitely up there on my list of quality lubricants. Lube is a really personal thing, but I haven’t heard very many complaints about their products. If you’re looking to get wet and wild in the bedroom, this is a good place to start.
